Members can also request a paper proxy by calling 844-830-2315. All proxies must be received by January 14, 2025 to be validated prior to the Annual Meeting.

Each member in good standing is encouraged to submit a proxy vote to be cast in the member’s behalf to elect another member to serve on the credit union’s Board of Directors.

The Universal 1 Credit Union Nominating Committee has nominated for re-election Nancy J. Stapp and Michael P. Thonnerieux. All are seeking a three-year term on the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee includes Chairperson Rosemary D. Domansky, retired from Dayton Lamina Corporation, Makell C. Baccus, Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services, and Mo Dillon, Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Candidates were nominated based on individual qualifications, past association with the Credit Union and personal concern for representing the interests of fellow Credit Union Shareowners. All Directors, with the exception of the President/CEO, volunteer their time while serving on the Board. The candidates for the Board of Directors are:

NANCY J. STAPP
Nancy Stapp is a Vice President of Finance for Midmark Corporation. She has been employed there since 2014. A graduate of Tiffin University, Mrs. Stapp earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mrs. Stapp is active with the Troy Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Ohio Society of CPAs. She has been a Credit Union member since 2018 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019. Mrs. Stapp currently serves on the Audit Review and Funds Management Committees.

MICHAEL P. THONNERIEUX
Michael Thonnerieux is the Township Administrator for Washington Township. He has been employed there since 2023. A graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Mr. Thonnerieux earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies and a Master of Science Degree in Recreation Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Thonnerieux has been a Credit Union member since 2015 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2016. Mr. Thonnerieux was appointed Board Secretary in 2024. He currently serves on the Executive, Audit Review, Information Systems, and Loan and Account Services Committees.
