Through on-going member service, the Credit Union demonstrates its unique role of a member-owned, not-for-profit, financial cooperative. It is the duty of the Credit Union to communicate the operating uniqueness and mission of the credit union system.                                                             
Universal 1 Credit Union supports the credit union industry through participation at national, state and local levels. Credit unions were founded under the principles of “Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service” and “People Helping People.” Operating guidelines are rooted in these core philosophies.
